Why don't Monday Edge charge an annual fee?
We want to make it really easy for those players who can't play regularly each week to be able to afford to play - so we operate Monday Edge on a pay-and-play basis, so that players don't have to pay for an annual membership when they don't know how many times they will be able to play in a year. Instead, we charge £6 per session for each player, payable in advance. This session fee is payable for every session a player attends, whether they play for 15 minutes or for the full 2 hours.
Many of our members prefer to pay for 4-5 sessions in advance (£24-£30) on account. We then keep a register of attendees at each session and reduce the balance on account for those players who have made an advance payment. We then notify those members who, at the start of the month, have a pre-paid amount that is running low and may need to be topped up. Any unused advance payments will be returned, on request, if for any reason a player decides to stop playing badminton with us.
