Edge Thursday - Standard of Play 

We try to maintain a high standard of play across all courts at the Thursday Edge Badminton Club to help ensure the enjoyment of all players. All members of the club are expected to be able to demonstrate a minimum standard of play that is consistent with that of a strong Intermediate Player.

If you’ve been playing competitive badminton or have just moved to the area from another club, then please come along for a trial session so you can check us out and see how you get on.

If both you and we feel that your standard of play fits in with the rest of the club, then we'll invite you to join us and come along regularly.

If we feel you may benefit from some additional social or intermediate level play, then we’ll have a discreet chat and signpost you to the Edge Monday Badminton Club, so that you can take the opportunity to play on Mondays and improve your game.  We often have players who play initially with the Monday group, and then when they want more advanced play or even more competitive games, we encourage them to try us out again.
